A useful first conversation starts with the decision.
Tell us what you are trying to assess, where your organisation could contribute and what evidence you would need to move forward. The aim is to establish whether there is a practical next step and who needs to be involved.
Ngaru is progressing a development pathway. Enquiries do not imply that a project, contract, generation output, project timetable or investment return is secured.
Choose the conversation that fits your role.
Iwi and regional partners
Discuss place, relationships, local aspirations and how a potential project could be explored together. Start with the appropriate people and a clear understanding of the role being proposed.
Energy buyers and infrastructure
Discuss the location and shape of electricity demand, connection considerations, timeframes and the evidence needed to assess a potential supply relationship. Any supply terms require separate assessment and agreement.
Development investors
Discuss the development work, decision milestones and the information needed for due diligence. Technical, environmental, regulatory, commercial and delivery assumptions need to be assessed together.
Marine, manufacturing and research
Discuss capabilities relevant to site assessment, engineering, marine operations, manufacturing, monitoring or maintenance. Outline your experience and where you believe it could contribute.
What to include in your enquiry.
- Your organisation and the role you want to explore.
- The relevant location, capability or electricity requirement, where appropriate.
- The decision you are working towards and your timeframe.
- What you would need from Ngaru to assess a next step.
A brief introduction is enough to begin. Ask us about an appropriate process before sending confidential technical or commercial material.
Build a shared understanding first.
Start with wave energy in New Zealand and the wider ocean energy context. Then explore the technology, development pathway and system-value questions.
The enquiry form lets you select development-stage investment, offtake or energy partnership, iwi or regional partnership, supplier or manufacturing opportunity, government or research collaboration, or a general enquiry.
